Building codes and land-use regulation have proven to be the most effective tools to promote health and safety in cities and reduce disaster risk. In this video with World Bank, we looked at how managing risks in the built environment creates safer and more resilient cities. With the new Building Regulation for Resilience program, vulnerable counties to natural disasters will receive help in improving implementation and compliance of effective building regulation.
